Every once in a while, we crave for some good Pad Thai. Although we are no expert on Thai food, we sure can tell that this is one of the best in Montreal.
We ordered a chicken pad thai and it was filled with yummy goodness and everything you would typically find: chop suey, green onions, lime, shrimps and full of flavour! You can typically chose the level of spiciness but since we ordered in, it came non-spicy. However, I warn you that Thai people do not fool around with theirs spices so be careful! I usually take it only a bit spicy and it's enough for me. On the other hand, Alvin can take medium since he has that Indonesian blood haha.
We wanted to treat ourself so we ordered 2 desserts.
First, we had the mango sticky rice. I've always wanted to try this dessert since it one of Thailand's most popular dish! It is basically sweet sticky rice topped with mango topped with a coconut sauce. It reminds me a lot of an Indonesian dessert (Bubur Ketan Hitam). The combination of the sweet rick and the topping is perfect since the coconut sauce is somewhat salty which balances everything out.
We then had the tapioca pudding. If you ever had vietnamese drink, you would probably recognize the taste. It is basically pandan flavoured tapioca with coconut milk. So simple yet so delicious!
